Ken, The output is really low on systems like that, then when you turn them up you get hot. I'd use just another basic stereo receiver...maybe Onkyo for about $150ish should work much better. Make sure you consider a speaker selector, that`s what does the impedance matching for all the speakers to run at the same time. See here for more. Take a look at these speakers for a good bang for the buck. There's a volume deal for 5 pairs that make that a great deal.

I would like to add 6 small wall or ceiling speakers to this system for music only. not the home theatre. they tell me I can`t do that because it will overheat. Do you have any reasons why this can`t be done? or do you sell a very small amplifier that I can place in between.
