Speaker dimensions clarification

Philip, That size is the size of the woofer in the set. The dimensions are listed with each description. We list the overall dimensions. The cutout sizes are about 1 1/4" less than the overall listed. Ceiling speakers don`t list the depth as often as they are expecting you to mount them in typical American construction of attics and floor joists. If it`s not listed you can always look at the manufacturer's link if available on each item.
Name : Philip Message : When you list them as 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 is that the inches that is hidden in the ceiling or the size of the hole that is cut? If is the size of the hole, how much ceiling depth is required?
