Mike, For the patio, any of our speakers will work for outside, however the one`s with aluminum grills weather better over time, like this set: http://www.inwallstore.com/jac6a.html For surround, we have these kits here we recommend: http://www.inwallstore.com/kit-theater.html We do carry the JBL in those theater packages and they are pretty similar sound to that of the Infinity. For the whole house stuff the JA Audio is a great bang for the buck kind of speaker for those secondary areas. On a covered patio so it is outside but will be shielded from the weather. 2.) Surround Sound in my great room. Ceilings are 10 ft tall and I have tile floors.
