Surround mode on speakers
Dwayne,
Sounds like maybe they're using a surround mode on the receiver? Makesure no surround modes are selected.

I helped by parents install a home stereo system. Two of the
speakers are in the ceiling of a covered patio. My parenets are
telling me that the speakers are working but they can`t hear the
singing, just the music. All the other speakers in the other rooms
work fine. Any ideas why this is happening? I`n trying to save
myself a 120 mile drive to check it out. Thanks for any advise you
can provide
